History of Western Philosophy
This course surveys the major philosophers and philosophies in the history of Western thought that have had a significant formative effect on the development of theories of law and state, ethics, epistemology, religion, theology and ethics. Having studied these theories and systems of thought, students should be prepared to deal with the wide range of issues encountered in other disciplines where this basic knowledge of philosophy is foundational.
