Current Student Scholarship Information

 

Who Can Apply for a Music Scholarship?

This information is for current NCU students who currently have a music scholarship and wish to apply to renew the scholarship for the following year. It is also for current NCU students who may not have a music scholarship but would like to apply to receive one for the following year.

 

What is the Scholarship Based On?

The music scholarship is primarily a merit scholarship but is also based on other criteria such as juries, recital performance and attendance, ensemble participation and GPA. This scholarship is also based heavily on the recommendation of the students applied teacher and ensemble director.

 

How Do I Apply?

Fill out the online application. This is submitted directly to the Fine Arts Department.

Print off and give a recommendation form to your applied teacher and ensemble director. They will complete the recommendation and hand it directly to the department administrative assistant.

 

When are the Application and Recommendations Due?

Both the application and the recommendations are due to the Fine Arts Department by Friday, February 15th. Late applications will not be considered for a scholarship.

 

How Will I Find Out if I Receive a Scholarship?

The Fine Arts Department will contact you in a letter stating the amount of the scholarship you will be receiving.
