| A passion for his students and their calling is what Charlie McElveen is known for around North Central University. Formerly he held the office of president at Tidewater Bible College located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Charlie also previously worked as an associate pastor at Azalea Garden Church of God and a police chaplain during his time in Virginia Beach.
Now in his fourth year at North Central, he works closely to unite students with local churches in the surrounding urban community of the Twin Cities. He is personally involved with Amazing Grace Assembly of God in St. Paul.
Charlie is originally from Miami, and some might consider his move to Minnesota to be truly spirit-led. He resides locally with his wife, Donna, and his two children, Jennifer and David. Much to his wife's delight, Charlie enjoys working on home improvement projects. Free time at home might find him deep in the pages of history biographies, such as Theodore Rex or American Soldier, or books by some of his favorite authors, which include Robert Ludlum and Clive Cussler.
