The entertainment industry is growing and changing, which is creating career opportunities for a new type of professional who is strong both artistically and administratively. With this in mind, North Central University’s Fine Arts and Business Administration Departments have designed a curriculum that will prepare the next generation of leaders in the musical area of the entertainment industry.     Consistent with the University’s focus on training scholar saints, the Music Business program provides individuals with the artistic expertise to influence their respective industries and a thorough knowledge of God’s word through 30 credit hours of Bible and theology study. This equips students to live out their calls to be light and salt within the entertainment industry.      Students majoring in Music Business/Management will learn the skills, concepts and methodologies necessary to manage the legal, financial, artistic and ethical issues that face the contemporary music business professional. This will be accomplished through completion of a rigorous curriculum from both the Fine Arts and Business Administration Departments.      The curriculum includes an internship, senior project, case studies and exposure to industry leaders. These elements are combined with group projects, time in the recording studio and discussions focusing on leadership and ethics, which together give the student a firm understanding of how career success will be measured within the industry.
