Why study music production live at North Central University?
North Central’s Music Production: Studio major will prepare students with the skills they need for a successful career in the recording industry. Through courses in audio engineering, ProTools, and music production, students will perfect the craft of audio recording, mixing, mastering, and producing. An internship will help students gain real-world experience and valuable connections with pros in the industry. Plus, North Central’s state-of-the-art recording facilities will give students opportunities to practice with the latest performance and recording technology.
Producing Your Passion
In a city that’s home to many famous and up-and-coming musicians, students are in the right place to start their own music career in live production. After four years, our graduates will have the knowledge of live sound mixing, miking, and signal flow as well as the knowledge of video post-production, audio editing, and pro tools. Alongside North Central’s experienced professors, students will get the hands-on learning they need to be successful in the music industry.
Furthermore, students have the opportunity to participate in an internship that will prepare them for real-world experience and valuable connections as they pursue a fulfilling career after graduation. North Central’s graduates have moved on to become audio engineers, audio editors, producers, and audio mixers. We also recognize the importance of a well-rounded education which is why we offer many supporting programs including media production, business administration, and urban studies.
