More Information About This Opportunity:

Xi’an, in north central China, was the capital city for 10 Chinese dynasties spanning over 1,000 years and is the beginning of the historic Silk Road that stretched all the way to Europe and North Africa. A semester at the Xi'an Study Abroad Center will give you an opportunity to immerse yourself into this rich Chinese culture, with experienced cross cultural practitioners and other students, while earning credit towards your undergraduate degree.

Intensive study in Mandarin language and Chinese culture will be a daily part of your routine along with other classes and experiences centering on intercultural study, unreached people groups, and the history and current situation in China.

While this semester in Xi’an is tailored to meet the international experience requirements of the Intercultural Studies major, any NCU student may apply to participate.  Opportunities may be available to remain in China (or another Asian location) for the purpose of completing a summer internship. Internship opportunities vary and may be discussed with the program facilitator after the completion of the application process.
