Sophomore Zach Peterson (Anoka, Minn.) got the Rams on the board in the 9th minute. Two minutes later freshman Levi Kooistra (Brookfield, Wis.) scored what would stand as the game winner on an assist from fellow freshman Caleb Thomas (Skopje, Macedonia). In the 24th minute North Central got its third goal from freshman Dustin Poole (Beaver Creek, Ohio) on an assist from Senior Ryan Wendorf (Racine, Wis.). The first half scoring finished up with Thomas adding an unassisted breakaway goal in the 27th minute. In the second half Kooistra added his second goal of the day in the 59th minute to wrap the Rams scoring. Pillsbury’s Andy Rodgers added the Comet’s lone tally in the 70th minute to break up Goalkeeper Tim Hanlin’s shutout.
