Schlangen Named Head Women's Volleyball Coach

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- North Central Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Ryan Schlangen as head coach of the Women's Volleyball team.

Schlangen is an alumnus of North Central ('07) and comes into the position after serving in
many roles as a student leader while attending NCU. He served as a Resident Advisor and was also employed by the university’s Student Life office.

Ryan brings a strong set of team leadership skills to the volleyball program, having led many missions trips as the director of NCU’s student-led Ninedays ministry. He also served at AFC Global, advising trips for their missions outreach organization.

Ryan currently worksat STEM International as a team operations associate, specializing in short and long term missions trips. He currently resides in Minneapolis.

The NCU Volleyball team tips off the season at the Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational Tournament (Milwaukee, Wis.) on August 29.
