Men's Soccer Weekly Update: 9/26/08
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- North Central Men's Soccer will head to Canada this weekend for pair of matches verses Providence College and Canadian Mennonite University. NCU will look to get back on track after dropping their only match of the week 4-0 to Crown College.
Crown defeated the Rams 4-0 at the Neiman Sports Complex on Tuesday afternoon. After falling behind 3-0 in the first half NCU played well enough to hold the score to 4-0 and just missed on numerous scoring opportunities in the second stanza. Sophomore Goal Keeper Caleb Norman (White Bear Lake, Minn.) recoreded 11 saves in the match.
North Central will try to earn their first regional and regular season victory of the season against the Providence (Otterburne, Manitoba) team that eliminated them 4-0 in last season's NCCAA Region Tournament. The Rams and Freeman tilt will kick off at 4:30pm this afternoon.
Saturday NCU will continue their trip north of the border with a battle against Canadian Mennonite University on their Winnipeg, Manitoba campus. That game will kick off at 1pm.
