MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the North Central University Women's Basketball Program to develop Christian women who lead by striving for excellence in everyday life.
VISION STATEMENT
It is the vision statement of the North Central Women's Basketball Program to provide an opportunity for student-athleties to reach their potential spiritually, academically, socially, and physically through athletic competition.
INFORMATION FOR RECRUITS
- 10 to 20 players make up the Women's Basketball roster. Team tryouts are during the first week of practice
- The varsity competes in 25 regular season games.
- Most games are played on Tuesday & Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
- Motion style offense; defense utilizes full and 3/4 court pressing; player-to-player and zone in quarter court. Our style dictates 8-12 players see action each game.
- Practice begins October 15th and lasts until the last weekend in February.
- North Central returns from most of their day road trips between 10:30pm-12:30am. The team seldom misses entire days of class for travel to games.
- Usually get a four-day break at Thanksgiving and 10-14 days for Christmas.
- The Clark-Danielson Athletic Center has recently received a new floor redesign and average attendance is around 600.
- You may participate in more than one intercollegiate sport at North Central.
- Pratice uniforms are provided.
- Most North Central athletes graduate in four to four and half years.
- Outstanding Faculty support for athletics.
- North Central offers a student-athlete academic program that includes study sessions and tutors.
- Opportunity to play basketball in a Christian atmosphere with other Christian Athletes.
