FAQ for women’s soccer

1. What time are practices?

3:30, Monday thru Friday.



2. Are there class times I should avoid?

We ask that you avoid taking classes after 5th hour or Block C. Due to the game schedule we also ask that you avoid taking slot and evening classes.


3. Can I play if I have to take a class during one of those time periods?

Yes. Occasionally certain majors hold required classes during those times. We do make exceptions for those situations.



4. When are tryouts?

Tryout s are held during the afternoon of the Sunday and Monday of Welcome Week. Details will be including in the welcome schedule that will be on the NCU website.


5. How long is the season?

The regular season ends the last weekend of October. Post season play may extend into November.


6. What costs are involved?

Athletes are responsible for their personal gear and warm-ups. All travel and game expenses are covered by NCU.


7. I see we are traveling to Canada for some games. Will I need a passport?

No. Pass ports are not required yet; they will likely be necessary starting in 2009. You will, however, need a driver’s license and birth certificate to get in and out of Canada. More information can be found at: http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/vacation/ready_set_go/land_travel/


8. Do I need a physical?

Yes. All freshmen are required to have a physical prior to practicing with any NCU team and the official form is available on the NCU athletics site in the bottom left hand box under the sports physical form link.



9. Where does the team practice?

We currently practice at a city field Roseville. Transportation is provided by the university.



10. Where are games held?

Home games are held at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN.



11. What should I be doing to get ready for the season?

A suggested workout is posted the main page of the women's soccer page.
