Lady Rams Swept at Wisconsin Lutheran Tourney

MILWAUKEE, Wis.--- North Central Women's Volleyball tipped off their season at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Lady Rams were swept in all four games during the weekend.
NCU opened play with a 3-1 loss to Alverno College (Milwaukee, Wis.) on Friday afternoon. Junior Kelli Patrick (Howard, S.D./Howard HS) led NCU with 9 kills and 18 digs in for the match.
The Friday evening match saw the Rams defeated 3-0 by Carroll College (Waukesha, Wis.). Junior Amanda Matson (Milwaukee, Wis./Heritage Christian recorded 14 digs and Freshman Courtney Pierce
(Goodfield, Ill./Eureka HS) contributed 10 assists.
On Saturday NCU dropped another 3-0 match to host Wisconsin Lutheran. Matson recorded an NCU match high 12 digs and senior Kenra Lee (Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) had two solo blocks.
In the final match the Rams lost 3-0 to Lake Forest College (Lake Forest, Ill.). Matson led North Central with 7 kills and Freshman Samantha Eide (Peterson, Minn./Rushford-Peterson HS) recorded 8 digs.
NCU will be looking to rebound in their next match when they visit Martin Luther College (New Ulm, Minn.) on Tuesday. The Rams and Knights will tip off at 7pm.
