Community Outreach Day 2013
On September 10th, over 470 North Central students participated in serving our community on our annual Community Outreach Day. Each year, afternoon classes are canceled and a special chapel is dedicated to this day. Greg Leeper, Dean of Students for Student Engagement and Experiential Learning, spoke a message during this chapel on loving our neighbors while being fully ourselves. The afternoon continued with picnic lunches with Brother/Sister floors, and the excitement of this day sustained through serving the 35 organizations with which North Central had partnered. After serving these organizations and their needs, all students returned to campus for the annual Elliot Park Night to Unite. This neighborhood grill-out had never been so well attended by North Central students, especially vibrant this year in their new Community Outreach Day t-shirts.
