MEDICAL INSURANCE/ACCIDENT INSURANCE
Full-time students are covered by a student accident insurance policy through the University. Assistance with insurance questions and claims is available through the Business office.
If a student wishes to enroll in supplemental medical insurance, it must be purchased within 30 days of the start of the fall semester. Spring semester enrollment is open only to new students and be purchased within 30 days of the start of the semester. There is a special enrollment period available to students who lose coverage. All inquiries can be made in the Business office.
PARKING & MOTOR VEHICLES
The use of motor vehicles at NCU is considered a privilege with accompanying responsibilities. Students with a motor vehicle on-campus must have liability and property damage insurance.
An extensive parking and motor vehicles manual can be obtained through the NCU Security office. Students bringing a motor vehicle to campus are responsible for the information contained in that publication.
PLOWING/SNOW REMOVAL
North Central University parking lots are plowed on schedule following a 2" snowfall. If a vehicle is not removed from a parking lot by the time it is scheduled to be plowed the vehicle will be towed. It is the student's responsibility to note the snow accumulation and plowing notices posted on campus. Campus snow plowing information can be obtained by calling: (612) 343-7882. City plowing information can be obtained by contacting the Minneapolis Snow Emergency Hotline at: (612)348-7669.
BICYCLES
All bicycles must be registered each academic year with the Security office. Registered bicycles may be stored in the basement of Miller Hall or parked in designated areas and should not be chained to trees or signs. Unregistered bicycles and bicycles left in unapproved areas will be confiscated and may be auctioned off by the University. Students are also encouraged to register their bicycle with the State of Minnesota.
