About:
Michelle Confreda teaches as a half-time professor in the Carlstrom Deaf Studies Department. Having grown up with deaf family members, Michelle has been involved in the deaf community all her life. She has been a member of the RID (National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) since 2007 and became certified to interpret through them in 2008. She went through the Carlstrom Deaf Studies program and graduated summa cum laude in 2009 with two degrees: ASL/English Interpreting and Deaf Ministry. She is excited to continue to serve the Deaf community and North Central community in this capacity.
