Professor Watt has walked a life path of great variety.  He grew up in western American towns whose populations were lower than their elevations, yet he has lived in London England, Washington DC and Minneapolis-St. Paul.  He started his higher education in a rural community college, moved on to a state university and received an advanced degree from a private university (which was originally chartered as part of another country).  He has lived on the East Coast, in the Old West, the Deep South, the mid-West and England.  He has significant experience in business, government and education.  He listens to Baltimore Orioles baseball, BBC Radio Scotland and old time radio shows on satellite, reads books about World War I, volunteers at a nursing home, gardens and periodically herds deer out of his back yard.  Maybe that is why his students say he has a story for everything.
