Employee Tuition Benefit
Regular full-time (40 hours per week) and regular part-time with benefit employees (30+ hours per week) are permitted and encouraged to take up to three North Central credits in the fall and spring semesters. The employee tuition benefit discount does not extend to summer course offerings. With the tuition benefit discount, tuition, general fees and technology fees are waived. Applied lesson, directed research, and class fees are the responsibility of the employee.
Employee Dependent Tuition Benefit Discount
The spouse and/or dependent children (as defined by federal financial aid regulations) of regular full-time (40 hours per week) employees may receive up to 100% paid tuition through the Employee Dependent Tuition Benefit Discount. The Employee Dependent Tuition Benefit Discount can only be applied to tuition. All other costs such as general fees, class fees, housing, textbooks and meal plans are the responsibility of the student (whether the student is full-time status or part-time status). In order to qualify for the Employee Dependent Tuition Benefit Discount, all spouses/dependents who are taking 6 or more credits MUST first file for federal and state financial aid.

Full-time regular employees are awarded a total of 48 hours (6 days) of discretionary leave per calendar year. This is available for sickness, medical appointments, personal time, etc.
NCU currently has 10 paid holidays that are observed as paid-time-off for employees. In addition to these holidays, Christmas week is also observed as paid-time-off when granted by the President's Cabinet (this is voted upon annually and not guaranteed on an annual basis).
