General Information

The North Central Student Association (NCSA) encompasses all on-campus Student Leadership at NCU.  The Association consists of 3 distinct bodies:

  1. Executive Committee:  President, Vice President, and Executive Committee Officers.   Represents student body to administration, potential students, alumni and faculty/staff.
  2. NCSA Board of Directors: Organizational Directors, ARDs, DAs.  The self-governing, directing Board of NCSA. Represents the perspectives of all NCSA student leaders.
  3. North Central Student Senate: Consists of elected representatives from each living area.  Represents the concerns and initiatives of the NCU Student Body to the Administration.

NCSA Student Leadership Positions: Various leadership positions are available to NCU students who have completed Foundations of Leadership (GS 180) and completed or are enrolled in Leadership Development I (GS 280). During their first year,  Students at NCU have the opportunity to get involved in organizations as a participant in campus events and are encouraged to prayerfully consider whether they should pursue a leadership role on campus.

Student Organizations

Deaf Culture Fellowship

Mission Statement: DCF is a Christ-centered group of people working towards helping to build the bridge between the Deaf and hearing worlds.Focuses on building community within and around both Deaf and Hearing worlds. We believe in John 13:35 and choose to show the world that we are Christ's discipline by our love, not only here at NCU but also in the community at large.

Delta Kappa

Mission Statement: Empowering women to empower others.

Discipleship Leaders

Mission Statement: The discipleship program exists to foster discipleship through personal and community growth in order to encourage a deeper understanding of self and God so that the North Central community may be grounded in their faith to live it out within and outside our community.

Entry

Mission Statement: The mission of Entry is to give students the opportunity to minister to students in a variety of ways. The main focus of our service is to bring the message of God to the student body in a 50 minute service so they may be refreshed, encouraged, motivated, and well rounded to go and do the work of God in return for what they have been given.

International Student Friendship

Mission Statement: We exist to promote meaningful relationships between North Central students and international students though conversational English groups and cultural parities.

NCU Prayer Team

Mission Statement: To spiritually cover and equip North Central University through the facilitation of prayer.

Mission Statement: Ninedays exists to provide every member of the NCU community with the opportunity to broaden their understanding of ministry in a diverse cultural setting. Through prayer, relationships, service and intense leadership and cultural training. Participants are empowered to encourage and bless individuals and ministries around the world.

Orientation Leaders

Mission Statement: The purpose of the NCU orientation program is to provide support for new students that facilitates integration into our community and enables maximum student retention, growth, and satisfaction.

Praise Gathering

Mission Statement: Praise Gathering exists to foster an atmosphere of worship and intercession where students of North Central University can truly encounter the presence of God, worshipping Him in Spirit and in truth.

Resident Advisors

Mission Statement: Better Community. Better Individuals. Better Communities. The NCU Residence Life Staff strives to create a comfortable living and learning community. Through the development of this community, individual growth will occur which will encourage students to invest in their future communities. Residents will be challenged to integrate faith and experience with social and personal responsibility to present and future communities.

SMB - Elliot Park

The Elliot Park team exists to share the love of Christ to our neighbors in Elliot Park through lasting relationships.

SMB - Reach Out Minneapolis

Reach Out Minneapolis exists to reclaim the outcasts from the dark to the light through service, evangelism, and prayer. Our goal is to see the Spirit rise on the streets of Minneapolis by training students to effectively share Christ’s love in unique ways.

SMB - Release

“Release” is an anti-trafficking organization empowering students to use their God-given gifts both to directly and indirectly impact those enslaved by human trafficking.

SMB - Steps to Beauty

Steps to Beauty seeks to instill in girls an awareness and understanding of their intrinsic beauty and worth through use of the arts.

The Student Ministries Board (SMB) is an organization of students who share a common goal to show Christ's love to our campus, our community, and our local churches through service.
