Student Government

General Information

The North Central Student Association (NCSA) encompasses all on-campus Student Leadership and official Student Organizations at NCU.  The Association consists of 3 governing bodies:

  1. Executive Committee:  Members: President, Vice President, Organizational Development, Public Relations, Finance.   Purpose: Serves as the administrative organization of NCSA. Oversees and assists the Board of Directors and Student Organizations, and represents the Student Body to the administration, alumni, potential and future students, and the community-at-large.
  2. NCSA Board of Directors: Members: Organizational Directors, ARDs, DAs.  Purpose: Serves as a legislative organization of NCSA. Works to unite and network its members and represents the perspectives of all NCSA student leaders.
  3. North Central Student Senate: Members: Two senators from each living area Purpose:  Represents the concerns and initiatives of the NCU Student Body to the Staff, Faculty, and Administration.

NCSA Student Leadership Positions: Various leadership positions are available to NCU students who have completed Foundations of Leadership (GS 180) and completed or are enrolled in Leadership Development I (GS 280). During their first year,  Students at NCU have the opportunity to get involved in organizations as a participant in campus events and are encouraged to prayerfully consider whether they should pursue a leadership role on campus.

Praise Gathering

Praise Gathering exists to facilitate the practice of the spiritual giftings within the body of Christ in an atmosphere that glorifies Jesus.

Psi Chi

Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.

Render

Our mission is to Reach, Teach, and Empower the North Central Community by: Sharing Relevant Messages, Taking part in Immersing Worship, and Fostering a Passionate Prayer life with fellow students, further equipping them to go out and fulfill God's call for their lives. Find freedom in Surrender.

Resident Advisors

Better Individuals. Better Communities. The NCU Residence Life Staff strives to create a comfortable living and learning community. Through the development of this community, individual growth will occur which will encourage students to invest in their future communities. Residents will be challenged to integrate faith and experience with social and personal responsibility to present and future communities.

Senate

We are a body of proactive students representing the concerns of our community in an unbiased forum where innovative solutions are prayerfully and carefully considered; we facilitate communication and effectively translate students’ needs between the administration, faculty and staff of North Central University.

Sigma Tau Delta

The Alpha Nu Sigma chapter of the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society confers distinction on students who show excellence in language and literature and commitment to truth, sincerity, and design.

SMB - Elliot Park

The Elliot Park team exists to share the love of Christ to our neighbors in Elliot Park through lasting relationships.

SMB - Reach Out Minneapolis

Reach Out Minneapolis exists to reclaim the outcasts from the dark to the light through service, evangelism, and prayer. Our goal is to see the Spirit rise on the streets of Minneapolis by training students to effectively share Christ’s love in unique ways.

SMB - Release

“Release” is an anti-trafficking organization empowering students to use their God-given gifts both to directly and indirectly impact those affected by human trafficking.

SMB - Rising Force

Rising Force Ministries creates disciples on the University of Minnesota campus through prayer, teaching, outreach, and evangelism.
