The Plant Department exists to "Provide the North Central University community with the best learning, living and working environment that our budget will allow. This environment should be safe, functional, comfortable both in climate and furnishings, clean and aesthetically pleasing so that the campus community is not hindered or distracted from its purpose but is supported in its efforts."
The North Central Plant Department is charged with the responsibility of keeping our campus in proper working order and restoring the many historic buildings we have on campus. We work in conjunction with virtually every department on campus to meet the many diverse needs that exist at North Central. Quality service with prompt response time is our main drive and we hope to meet the needs of our students, staff, and faculty in a professional and timely manner.
Vision of the Physical Plant Department:
Our goal is to stay in tune to the changing needs of our university and issues that relate to our physical campus. Some of these issues are environmental hazards, crime, mechanical or structural failure of our buildings as well as safety, sanitation and communicable disease. These are issues that have confronted institutions in the past and will continue to arise to threaten the usability of our facilities. We will stay at the cutting edge of technology so we can best deal with the new problems that may jeopardize the use of our campus. We will secure a physical campus so that North Central University can pursue its institutional vision.
