Recreation and Wellness

General Information

In the Department of Recreation and Wellness, we aim to provide quality programming and activities that will help students stay fit and active while preparing to follow God's calling. We agree with Herophilus, the ancient greek doctor, who said “When health is absent, wisdom cannot reveal itself, art cannot manifest, strength cannot fight, wealth becomes useless and intelligence cannot be applied.” Our mission statement is: “The NCU Department of Recreation and Wellness provides excellent sport, fitness and wellness programs that enhance student experience while generating positive and sustainable lifestyle habits.” The theme verse for our programming comes from Luke 10:27. Here we are instructed to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, STRENGTH and mind. Our desire is to help North Central University students stay healthy so they can do the work God has placed before them. We do this through a variety of programs. Do you have an activity that you love but we don't offer? Let us know. We'll do our best to make it happen.
