Burglary in an On Campus Apartment and Suspicious Persons
On the morning of August 31st, the Minneapolis Police Department informed the North Central Security Department of a Robbery of Person incident that happened on the 900 Block of 17th Street E (which is within one block from Campus). This event occurred on Friday, August 26th, 2011 between 4:09 am and 4:15 am. Two victims were walking toward Chicago Ave when they were approached by five males – one of whom had a gun. They were assaulted and personal property was taken. The suspects left the scene in a vehicle. There was no stated injury or descriptions of the suspects.

- Be aware of your surroundings at all times. If you feel uneasy, immediately proceed to a more populated area.
- If you are assaulted in any way, be aware of your assailants. Look at their clothing and face, listen to their voice, notice anything about their demeanor that will assist you in later identifying them.
