Master's Commission

North Central University Agreement with Master’s Commission Students

 

If you participate in Master’s Commission for one year:

You will receive up to 10 credits total of Advanced Standing.*

Credit will be granted for one year at a Master’s Commission with whom we have a partnership. (Affiliation with the MCIN guarantees partnership.)

GS 180 Foundations of Leadership (1 credit)

BIBL 131 Spiritual Formation (3 credits)

Depending on your major, you can choose 2 of the 3 following courses:

ICS 112 Global Perspectives (3 credits) (If at least two weeks of study were completed outside of the United States then you can receive credit for this course. Required for all majors.)

PRAC 122 Biblical Principles of Evangelism (3 credits)

PRAC 488 Ministerial Internship (3 credits)


If you participate in Master’s Commission for two years:

You will receive up to 16 credits total of Advanced Standing* credit for two years of Master’s Commission with whom we have a partnership. (Affiliation with the MCIN guarantees partnership.)

GS 180 Foundations of Leadership (1 credit)

BIBL 131 Spiritual Formation (3 credits)

ICS 112 Global Perspectives (3 credits) (If at least two weeks of study were completed outside of the United States then you can receive credit for this course.)

PRAC 122 Biblical Principles of Evangelism (3 credits)

PRAC 248 Discipleship, Mentoring, and Leadership Development (3 credits)

PRAC 488 Ministerial Internship (3 credits) (Granted only to students pursuing a degree in ministry or by approval of the Department Chair)

 

Advanced Standing* fee waived:


The Advanced Standing fee will also be waived for Master’s Commission Students, which makes these courses free for participants.

* “Advanced Standing” means that due to the amount of experience you have in the areas of leadership, personal discipline and evangelism you will not be required to take the listed courses.

 

Forming an approved partnership with NCU

 


If you are affiliated with Master’s Commission International Network (MCIN), you are approved for partnership with NCU. If you are not an MCIN affiliate, the director of your Master’s Commission will need to fill out a short application to let us know more about your Master’s Commission program. The application will be reviewed and once it is approved, every student that comes from your Master’s Commission program will be eligible to receive Advanced Standing credit.

 

Transferring Carlson Institute distance courses into the NCU residential program

North Central University offers distance learning courses through our program called
Carlson Institute. If you complete coursework through Carlson Institute, simply contact the Registrar’s office and ask them to transfer the distance coursework into your residential program at NCU.
