Admissions Requirements

Minimum Requirements

In order to become a student at North Central, individuals must apply and be accepted for admission. For specific information regarding these requirements, including details pertaining to transfer applicants, PSEO applicants, international applicants, and applicants who are home schooled, check out the Steps to Apply page.

The basic requirements of all students seeking admission are as follows:

  • Application form
  • $25 application fee
  • High school transcript with a minimum Grade Point Average of 2.2
  • ACT/SAT scores with a minimum ACT composite score of 18 or SAT total score of 850 (excluding the writing portion of the exam)
  • Character Recommendation form
  • Pastor's Recommendation form (showing personal relationship with Christ)

Admission Process

Once the Admissions Office has received all the required elements of an application, the Admissions Committee will consider the application for admission.

While the university has admission standards in place, the Office of Admissions does not rigidly adhere to an admission formula. Students who do not meet all of the above requirements may be considered for provisional admission by the Admissions Committee. Individual review is a routine part of the application process.

The Admission standards are not intended to "judge" who is a Christian and who is not. Rather, they are designed to enroll those people who are most likely to be successful in the North Central Community.

North Central requires all of its students to agree to the Responsibilities of Membership in our university community. North Central University does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, sex, age or disability in admission, employment, financial aid, education, programs, or activities.

Our Philosophy

North Central University is a Christ-centered, Pentecostal school with a commitment to academic excellence that prepares students to fulfill biblical models of leadership and ministry throughout the world (Ephesians 4:11-12).

As a Christian university we must pursue excellence in academics and in our Christian walk. Our goal is that each student grows in knowledge, Christian maturity, faith, integrity and quality of relationships as a result of their time at North Central.
