Letter to Parents/Guardians:

NCU Days is a great time for you and your student to visit North Central. It is a two-day event that combines a serious college visit with a fun-filled youth convention. Your student will have the chance to visit classes, talk with professors at the University Fair, meet their Admissions Counselor, fill out an online application for free, and experience chapel with current students. They'll also get to have all-you-can-eat meals in the cafeteria and enjoy an evening program. It will be a chance for them to experience real college life in a safe, nurturing environment.

We recommend that when possible, parents come with their student(s). The activities during the day/afternoon on Thursday and throughout the morning on Friday are geared toward both parents and students. However, the evening activities on Thursday are just for students. Additionally, overnight housing in the residence halls is only an option for high school students. Parents, youth leaders, pastors, chaperones, and family members can find lodging at nearby hotels that offer a discount for NCU visitors. For students planning to stay in the residence halls, please download and fill out the Overnight Waiver Form. Email forms to albreist@northcentral.edu or fax to 612.343.4146. Forms can also be mailed to North Central University Admissions, 910 Elliot Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404, or turned in when you check-in on campus.

There are a lot of things for you to do in Minneapolis, and I encourage you to explore – the Mall of America, the Guthrie Theatre, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, a host of restaurants downtown, your hotel, or a local coffee shop. So go ahead; enjoy a night without the kids!

There are a couple technical details about NCU Days you should know:

  1. Every student staying overnight needs to fill out an overnight waiver form. Email forms to albreist@northcentral.edu or fax to 612.343.4146. Forms can also be mailed to North Central University Admissions, 910 Elliot Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404, or turned in when you check-in on campus. When your student registers for NCU Days, the waiver form will be sent by email to the email address provided on the registration form. If a student is younger than 18, a parent must also sign the waiver form.
  2. All students should bring a sleeping bag and pillow. As students are staying overnight in the residence halls, we are not able to provide beds for all of them. Students should be prepared to camp out on dorm floors or couches. It will be fun, but could be cold without some type of blanket. Bringing bathroom toiletries would also be a good idea.
  3. Parking for guests during NCU Days is also provided free of charge. When your student or group registers, they must enter how many parking permits they need. When you arrive on campus, we'll have staff in orange vests directing you to guest parking. If you choose to drive around downtown, however, you may want to bring some quarters for parking meters, as most of downtown is metered.

We are committed to making NCU Days a safe, fun, educational experience for you and your student. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding North Central or NCU Days. I am here to help!

God Bless,

Letter to Youth Leaders / Pastors:

Leader Resources

Don’t miss an outstanding opportunity for your students to check out North Central University during Spring NCU Days, March 26 - 27, 2015. Our theme is The True University Experience. The early bird cost (before March 1, 2015) is $20 per student, which includes all meals, lodging, activities, and events. Each student also receives a FREE t-shirt.

At North Central University, we recognize the substantial influence you as youth leaders have in your students’ lives. We invite you to join in on the fun, too. Youth leaders/pastors are able to eat free in our cafeteria with students during their time on campus as well as attend the events on Thursday morning/afternoon and Friday morning.

We are truly excited for your young people to live The True University Experience while on campus, connect with God, and explore His plans for their future.
