Description of duties

We are looking for a full-time assistant/associate professor in our Social Work program. This field education coordinator position will include 25% of time as coordinator of internships, and 75% of time as teaching faculty. Faculty responsibilities include teaching 9 credits per semester, academic advising, working collaboratively on departmental and university committees, participating in the spiritual life of the NCU community, and engaging regularly in professional development and scholarly activity. Compensation is based on qualifications, including education and experience.

• Either a baccalaureate or master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program • At least two years of post-baccalaureate or post-master’s social work experience • Demonstrated leadership ability • Be or become a member of an Assemblies of God church Preference: • Doctoral degree • Experience in the areas of child & family, immigration and/or international social work

Weekly meetings with the Athletics Director are required and good communication skills are essential for this position. Applicants must sign a Christian lifestyle statement. Season length: August –November, with some limited hours required in the off-season.

The Admissions Counselor is responsible for recruiting potential students in a strategic manner presenting accurate information about the university to prospective students. Specific duties include,coordinating on-campus events, serve as academic advisor for freshmen during their first semester registration, represent the university at various churches, youth conventions, conferences, and college fairs and phone recruitment/counseling. This position requires the ability to travel 40% of the time.
