Circulation Fines

Item Type Fine
Regularly circulating books $0.25 per day
Media (DVDs, audio books, etc.) $1.00 per day
Headphones $1.00 per hour
Hourly reserve items (2 or 4 hr. reserves) $1.00 per hour
Daily reserve items (overnight, 3 day, 1 week, etc.) $5.00 per day
Interlibrary loan items $0.50 per day
Lost item replacement fee $60 per item††

††The final amount of a lost item fine will be adjusted (either up or down) at the time of payment according to the current market price for a new copy of the lost item, and will include a $5 processing fee. If a replacement item cannot be ordered (due to an item being out of print, etc.), the flat fee of $60 will apply. Lost item fees will be waived if the lost item is found and returned before a replacement copy is ordered, in which case the accrued overdue fees will be applied instead of the lost item fee.

NOTE: Students with fines in excess of $2.00 will not be able to check out books from the T. J. Jones Library. Students with fines in excess of $25 will have a hold put on their account, which may result in an inability to register for classes. Fines can be paid at the library circulation desk using cash or credit card (no checks accepted).
