Jeff Deyo Joins Fine Arts Faculty

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - Worship leader and recording artist Jeff Deyo, a founding member of SONICFLOOd, a Dove Award-winning, Grammy nominated group with more than one million albums sold has joined the Faculty of North Central University.  A talented songwriter and modern worship pioneer, Deyo’s most recent album ‘Unveil’ (Indelible Creative Group) marks his fourth solo release.  Deyo will serve as a Specialist in the university’s Fine Arts Department in the area of Worship Arts. 

Deyo’s talent, together with his passion and vision to raise up the next generation of worshipers, singers, musicians and worship leaders, are a tremendous resource not only for students studying in the Worship Arts programs at NCU, but for the entire NCU community.  He joins a Fine Arts Department that offers 8 majors, including Music, Music Business, Music Performance, Worship Arts, Recording Arts and  Theatre, as well as the state-of-the-art McPherson Recording Studio located in the Fine Arts building on the NCU campus.  

“Being at NCU offers me a chance to pour my heart, passion and experience into students in an ongoing, grass roots kind of way,”  Deyo said. “I want to give students an even greater ability to apply the wealth of information they’re acquiring in ways that will help them in the worlds of both commercial and church music.”

In addition to his recording projects, Deyo’s WorshipCityMinistries has partnered with ministries around the world, both teaching and leading worship for events with Josh McDowell, Luis Palau, John Bevere, John Maxwell, Max Lucado, Louie Giglio, Tommy Tenney, Willow Creek, Saddleback Church and a host of others.  WorshipCityMinistries is also the parent organization for the Pure Worship Institute (PWI), with a vision to “raise up a Kingdom generation of authentic worshipers, singers, and musicians” (
