SPS Conference Coming to NCU
Minneapolis, MN - The Society for Pentecostal Studies’ 2010 Conference is coming to North Central University. The theme to this year’s conference is "New Voices, New Visions: The Future and Hope of Pentecostal Theology.” The event will take place March 4-6, 2010, on the NCU campus in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Along with plenary and Interest Group sessions, the conference includes worship, a reception, morning prayer, working-lunch meetings, a Society business meeting, and a banquet. During the conference, attendees will have many opportunities to socialize, become acquainted with one another, and to share their scholarly interests and current work.
Some of the topics that will be discussed include: ‘Openness to the leading of the Spirit,’ ‘Is it possible to maintain a Pentecostal theological identity but express that identity in new ways?’ and ‘How is theology being shaped by Pentecostal voices from the majority world?’
The Society for Pentecostal Studies began in 1970 and is an organization of scholars dedicated to providing a forum of discussion for all academic disciplines as a spiritual service to the kingdom of God.
