Student Led Newspaper Receives Campus Acclaim

Minneapolis, MN – The Northerner, NCU’s Student Newspaper is now available in an online version at The website reflects the updated layout and style of the printed version of the paper, a change that has been enthusiastically received by the campus community.

Reflecting global trends in journalism and media convergence, this new online platform for student media at NCU will enhance the Communication Arts academic programming, as well as positively contribute to student life.

The Communication Arts department has taken advantage of the online medium to offer more opportunities for students to showcase their abilities in photography, audio, video, as well as traditional print journalism. In addition to presenting the newspaper in electronic format, The Northerner site has brought together the journalistic and media production efforts of NCU students, and showcases their broad array of talents.

All published content on the site can be instantly shared via a host of social bookmarks, tags and links connecting it with popular sites such as Facebook, Digg and Technorati.
