The theme of this year’s conference was "New Voices, New Visions: The Future and Hope of Pentecostal Theology.” Nearly four hundred leaders and scholars attended the event that included plenary and interest group sessions, worship, working-lunch meetings, a Society business meeting, and a closing banquet.
Some of the topics that were discussed in the various sessions included: ‘Openness to the leading of the Spirit,’ ‘Is it possible to maintain a Pentecostal theological identity but express that identity in new ways?’ and ‘How is theology being shaped by Pentecostal voices from the majority world?’
The Society for Pentecostal Studies began in 1970 and is an organization of scholars dedicated to providing a forum of discussion for all academic disciplines as a spiritual service to the kingdom of God.
