The Intercultural Studies (ICS) and Fine Arts departments of North Central University present Worldgate 2011: Awakening, March 17-19, 2011. Worldgate 2011: Awakening is an event that challenges the NCU community – in every academic discipline – to become personally aware, responsible, and involved in the global ministry of the Gospel. In partnership with the NCU Fine Arts Department, Worldgate 2011 celebrates culture, missions and the arts with a superb blend of preaching, ethnic music, art, and worship.
The ICS and Fine Arts Department would like to invite area churches to partner with them to support Missions students by sponsoring a table at the Missions Dinner on March 18th from 6-7pm. Special guests Dr. Beth Grant and her daughter Rebecca Grant from Project Rescue and Healing Arts will be talking about their relief work in the human trafficking field. The ICS Department will also introduce selected ICS students who feel called of God to minister overseas. These students are currently receiving cross cultural and missiological training at NCU to make a global impact. Proceeds from the Missions Dinner will go towards NCU’s Student Missions Scholarship Fund.
Area churches are also encouraged to invite their congregations to a spectacular evening of music, art and worship at our Ethnic Art Bazaar Auction and Worldgate Celebration Concert. There is no charge for the auction or the concert which will take place at the North Central University Word & Worship Center Friday, March 18 from 5:30-9pm.
For more information or to register for a table at the Missions Dinner please contact the ICS Department at 612-343-4184.
