Former MLB Player Meets with Rams Baseball Team

Minneapolis, MN- North Central University’s baseball team was treated to a special luncheon with former Major League Baseball pitcher and current Kansas City Royals bullpen coach Steve Foster on April 11, 2011.

Foster, a former relief pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds talked to the Ram’s players about defining their character not only on the field but in life.

“Your attitude affects your choices, good or bad,” said Foster, who encouraged the players to be leaders who “swim upstream” against the world’s path.

Foster co-authored a book in 2008 with his dad Steve Sr. titled, "Lessons from Little League and Life." He made quite an impression on the team when he recited a pitchers top 100 excuses from his book in under one minute. 

After a delay to their season due to the collapse of the Metrodome's roof, the NCU Baseball team is finally into the swing of their season schedule. The Rams host Maranatha Baptist on Tuesday, April 12th at 2 p.m.
