Date: August 31, 2011 - 3:21pm

Minneapolis, MN – The 2011-12 school year promises to be an exciting one at North Central University, and it's already in full swing as students arrived on campus for Welcome Week, August 27th-31st.

New students checked-in on “Super Saturday”, moved into residence halls, met classmates, and resident leadership.  Parents and students enjoyed a picnic and reception, as well as a welcome from President Anderson.

Welcome Week continued Monday with the start of move-in for returning students, as well as “Funky Night” and a “Party on the Patio” for the entire North Central community including staff, faculty, and students.

Wednesday, August 31st marked the start of both classes and Chapel. Jeff Deyo and student-led band One Accord kicked-off the first day of Chapel services with worship, and Dr. Tracy Paino (Dean, College of Ministry) and Dr. Gordon Anderson (University President) were the featured speakers.
