LAKEVILLE, MN – A record 160 golfers participated in the 12th Annual NCU Open golf tournament at Brackett's Crossing Country Club on June, 11th. The event raised over $20,000 to benefit North Central University’s Student Leadership Scholarship Fund.

“The NCU Open was filled with the buzz and laughter of over 160 donors, alumni and leaders who had as much fun seeing each other as they did golfing,” said Dr. Paul Freitag, NCU Vice President of Advancement. “I want to thank each person who invested their time, energy and resources to provide scholarships to students that are called to serve Christ with their lives. I have seen what a powerful affirmation it is to a student who receives a scholarship. “

The golfers kicked off their day with brunch before being formally greeted by North Central University President, Dr. Gordon Anderson. Minnesota Wild defenseman Nate Prosser (pictured above) prayed over the tournament and university before play began. The event wrapped up with dinner and a raffle.
