NCU to take part in Community Outreach Day & Night to Unite

Date: September 4, 2012 - 12:50pm

North Central University’s annual service event, Community Outreach Day is September 11, 2012. Community Outreach Day involves NCU students, faculty, and staff, servicing various organizations and projects within the community.

Groups, consisting of an academic department and a brother/sister floor, will be sent to different organizations throughout the Twin Cities. The organizations will have various projects, according to their needs, for their assigned group to complete. Community Outreach Day also gives an opportunity to live out what we teach, preach, and believe.

Classes fourth, fifth and sixth hour will be canceled.  Students, staff and faculty will convene in the Sanctuary at 1:00PM for a brief send-off, immediately followed by the groups' departure to their assigned organizations where they will assist with service projects from approximately 2:00-4:00PM.  All groups will return to Elliot Park for our 3rd annual Elliot Park Night to Unite.

This year North Central University and NCU SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise), in partnership with several local organizations will be facilitating an event titled ‘Night to Unite’ on September 11, 2012. Night to Unite is a FREE event that will be held in Elliot Park, and will include fun activities for Elliot Park residents including games for all ages, free food, fantastic music, hundreds of prizes, and very special guests.
