NCU Welcomes Back Students
NCU students return to class and experience amazing worship in the first Chapel of the semester
The halls were buzzing as the new semester started on the campus of North Central University today. The highlight of the first day back from holiday break is always the first Chapel service and today was no exception. After an amazing worship time, Dr. Gordon Anderson prayed over the students for the coming semester. Dr. Anderson encouraged students to do as Soloman did when he dedicated the temple by praying and raising his hands to God (1 Kings 8:54).
Students were also blessed by the preaching of guest speaker Chris Durso, director of Youth Explosion Ministries of Christ Tabernacle church in Queens, NY. Chris is well known for his passion for teenagers and has written a great book called, "Misfit: Dealing with Our God-Given Discomfort", helping teens see what it means to be a misfit like Jesus was. "I want to raise up spiritually healthy and mature teenagers so when they are out of high school they will be ready for the world" Durso says.
