North Central hosts NCU Open 2014
LAKEVILLE, MN – In the midst of a cold and wet week, the Lord blessed us with great golfing weather for the 120 linksmen who participated in the 14th Annual NCU Open Golf Tournament held at Brackett's Crossing Country Club on Monday, June 9, 2014. The event raised more than $20,000 to benefit North Central University’s Student Leadership Scholarship Fund.
“The course today was filled with laughter and great camaraderie from more than 120 donors, alumni, and leaders who always have a great time at this special event,” said Dr. Paul Freitag, NCU vice president of advancement. “It’s wonderful to see all of the people who invested their time, energy, and resources to provide scholarships to students who are called to serve Christ. I have seen what a powerful affirmation it is to a student who receives a scholarship. Our heartfelt thanks to all who made this day a great success.”
The golfers began the day with lunch before being formally greeted by North Central University President Gordon Anderson. Dr. Anderson also greeted each team at the first tee for a group photo. The event concluded with dinner and a raffle for all participants.
