...from your dining service! Our goal is to provide you with superior food service this year. To do our very best, we need your input. Let's work together to make your dining experience exciting and enjoyable!
- Talk to us in the dining hall. You'll see us throughout the meal hours. Please feel free to tell us how we can help make your dining experience better.
- Use the suggestion cards. Dining hall suggestion cards are readily available for your constructive comments.
- Communicate with your food service committee. This committee will meet regularly to discuss all aspects of the North Central University dining service. Keep in touch with your representatives.
- Participate in bi-annual surveys. We conduct surveys two times each year to assure that we stay responsive to your needs.

Meal Plans
We serve 18 meals per week and we offer four meal plans to accommodate your busy schedule. Each provides a varied menu and includes unlimited servings. You may choose from the following: 18 Meal Plan, 14 Meal Plan, 10 Meal Plan or 7 Meal Plan. Each plan permits a meal transfer program in the snack bar where you may enjoy a board meal during designated hours Monday through Friday. Those hours are 12:00 - 3:30 p.m and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Flex Account
In addition to any of the meal plans mentioned, you may establish a flex account for use in the Deli or the dining hall. Available for purchase in the dining hall by either resident or non-resident students, you may purchase these accounts as follows enjoying a 10% premium:
| Cost | Purchasing Power |
|---|---|
| $25.00 | $27.50 |
| $50.00 | $55.00 |
| $100.00 | $110.00 |
Your account can be accessed with your student ID. Any balance remaining at the end of the semester cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to the next semester. However, in the event that you exhaust your account, you may purchase additional blocks from your manager in the dining hall.
“All-You-Can-Eat” Rates
Non-resident students and campus guests may purchase meals at these fixed price rates:
- Breakfast: $5.35
- Lunch: $6.45
- Dinner & Sunday Noon: $8.05
- Steak Night/Monthly Special: $9.10
Unlimited Seconds!
Your food program is self-serve with second helpings, with the exception of the entree on premium nights. In an effort to reduce waste, we ask you to take one and return for seconds.
Program Highlights
Variety is important to your dining enjoyment. We hope our self-service presentations help you add some personal creativity to your dining
experience. A few of these are:

In addition to these self-serve features, other offerings include a wide variety of fruit and desserts, monthly theme dinners and weekly "monotony breakers" to keep you looking forward to your dining hall visits.
A Matter of Choice
Because your healthy diet is important, we offer a complete nutrition awareness program—"A Matter of Choice". Booklets, newsletters, brochures, posters, table tents and many other resources are available in the dining hall. If you have any questions about nutrition, visit our Web site at www.pcconline.com for 24-hour access to a registered dietitian who will provide confidential responses to your nutritional questions.
Takeout
When your schedule keeps you from eating meals in the dining hall, we offer several takeout options. They are available if your class or work conflicts with the dining hall schedule. Simply see a manager to arrange for your takeout meal.
Sick Trays
If you are too sick to attend a dining hall meal, you may obtain a note from your Resident Assistant to have a friend or roommate obtain a sick tray for you.
Catering
If you have a special occasion for which you want us to provide food, please talk with a manager. We'd be pleased to provide catered food service for your event at a reasonable charge. Planning well in advance is instrumental in making your catered event a success.
ID Cards
You must show your ID card to be admitted to the dining hall. The ID card needs to be in good working condition and scannable. Enforcing this policy consistently helps us to ensure that you are getting the most for your board dollars.
Lost Cards
If you lose your ID, a temporary pass may be obtained from the Student Life Office. It is your responsibility to obtain a new ID from the Security Office before the temporary pass expires.
Employment Opportunities
Employing students is important because it helps many students with their school expenses and helps us to stay in touch with the students we serve. To find out about current opportunities, flexible hours and the procedures for working with food service, just ask your manager. We'd like to have you as part of our team!
Help Us Help You
There are a few things you can do to help us provide the best service to all members of the North Central University community:
- No Food Carried Out. You may eat all the food you want in the dining hall during meal hours. Unauthorized carrying out of food increases the cost ot your food program and can contribute to other health and sanitation problems. We appreciate your understanding and compliance with this policy.
- China, Glasses & Silverware. Please do not carry serviceware from the dining hall. Doing this creates a shortage, reduces our level of service and increases the cost of providing you with the highest quality dining program for your money. Do not bring in your own cups and glasses. This also can contribute to food cost and sanitation problems.
- Bus Your Own Tray. Please carry your tray to the dish room as you leave the dining hall. This will keep your dining hall cleaner and more attractive for you and your fellow students.
