Welcome to Studio 415! Studio 415 is the Media Relations Department of North Central University (if it helps think of us like Superman & Clark Kent - one team with dual identities). Our goal is to offer the high level of quality and customer service one would expect when working with an independent studio without sacrificing the NCU-ness of what we do and how we work with the rest of the NCU Community.

Studio 415 (Media Relations Department) has been charged with developing and maintaining the Brand Identity of North Central. This means that we are responsible for:

  • establishing the guidelines for NCU's visual style.
  • ensuring materials and mailings are consistent with the style of NCU.
  • monitoring the use of the North Central University logo.

While our responsibility is primarily to produce pieces aimed at external audiences (Prospective Students, Alumni, Advancement, etc.), we will continue to make our services available for other areas of NCU as we are able...we're here to help!

Studio 415 News:

Website reaches milestones: 1,000,000 Page views, 250,000 visits!!!

In just one week's time, the northcentral.edu website reached two major milestones since its redesign on June 21, 2007. On Nov. 29, the site tallied its 250,000th visit. A few days later on Dec. 4, an even bigger number was shattered: 1,000,000 pages viewed! Thanks to everyone who visits, uses, and helps to maintain our site. Your feedback and insight continue to help us improve!

Since Studio 415 is responsible for maintaining NCU's Brand Image, all external communication and any use of the NCU logo must be approved by our department. NCU Logo Files:

Electronic Use
(raster files)

ncu_logo_rgb.jpg ncu_logo_rgb.gif ncu_logo_rgb.png ncu_logo_blk.jpg
These formats work well for online and electronic uses. The color model for these logos will not work well for printing.

Print Use Color
(raster files)

ncu_logo_cmyk_lrg.jpg ncu_logo_cmyk_lrg.psd ncu_logo_cmyk.jpg ncu_logo_cmyk.psd ncu_logo_cmyk.tif ncu_logo_cmyk_lrg.png
These files are formatted for printing with a resolutions of 300 dpi at 100%. It is okay to reduce the size but increasing the size will reduce the quality of the image.
Png format works best for Microsoft Word and Publisher files, the bkg is transparent.

Print Use
Grayscale
(raster files)

ncu_logo_gs_lrg.jpg ncu_logo_gs_lrg.psd ncu_logo_gs_lrg.tif ncu_logo_gs.jpg ncu_logo_gs.psd ncu_logo_gs.tif ncu_logo_gs_lrg.png
Use the grayscale versions of the logo when using only one color for printing. As with the CMYK files above these are 300 dpi at 100%. It is okay to reduce the logo size but not to increase the logo size.
Png format works best for Microsoft Word and Publisher files, since the background is transparent.

Vector Files

ncu_logo_cmyk.ai ncu_logo_cmyk.eps ncu_logo_gs.ai ncu_logo_gs.eps ncu_logo_pms295.ai ncu_logo_pms295.eps
Vector logo’s should be the first choice when designing print pieces. They have unlimited scalability with small file size.
The PMS versions of the logo use PMS 295 blue and are for 1 or 2 color print jobs.
