Carlson Institute-Director
Meet Our Director |
North Central University welcomes P. Douglas Chapman as the new Director of the G. Raymond Carlson Institute for Church Leadership. Chapman, an experienced educator and former pastor, said he is looking forward to what this new position offers him.
“Partnering with Dr. Gordon Anderson and his team of dynamic leaders affords me the opportunity to develop the next generation of ‘spirit-filled’ church leaders and significantly impact the kingdom of God,” said Chapman.
Chapman’s most important priority in this position will be shifting the Institute’s distance learning curriculum from a correspondence format into an online education program. Carlson will be launching new online courses in November 2007, with the possibility of entire degree programs available online within the next year.
Chapman is also reaching out to directors of Master’s Commissions around the country.
During the last decade, Chapman managed academic programs at both William Tyndale College and the Detroit extension of Central Bible College. His 13 years of teaching experience includes extensive work with non-traditional adult students and a variety of specialized learning formats. Included in his array of expertise are accelerated and intensive courses, online courses and hybrid courses that combine “live” and online learning.
