DR. DAVID WATSON, pastor, professor and evangelist, has his finger on the pulse of the Assemblies of God. From 1995 to 2003, Dr. Watson served as senior pastor of Central Assembly of God, the flagship church of the Assemblies of God, in Springfield, Missouri. He has taught at AG institutions, pastored leaders of the denomination, and served on national committees. Now, Dr. Watson is accessible to you on the local level for seminars, conferences and speaking engagements.
Dr. Watson's passion is to pour his life and experience into the lives of others, and to see people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. That passion has led him to spread the Gospel through evangelistic crusades in over 10 countries, from South Africa to the South Pacific.
Dr. Watson is one of the finest professors of pastoral preparation in the Assemblies of God today. From 1994 to 2003, Watson taught evangelism at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield. Students of Central Bible College benefited from Dr. Watson's teaching from 1990 to 1995.
The leadership of the Assemblies of God has regularly called on Dr. Watson to serve the organization on regional and national levels. While pastor of Central Assembly, Dr. Watson served as Executive Presbyter for the Southern Missouri District Council. On the national level, Watson has served as a member of the Foreign Missions Board, the Pentecostal Distinctives Task Force, the Media Center Board and was a member of the College Study for Pentecostal Distinctiveness for the General Council.
Dr. Watson is known for his simple yet profound approach of teaching people how to bring new people to the church, and how to close the back door.
