Andy Schuttinga

Professional Experience:

Most recently, Dr. Schuttinga has been an adjunct instructor at Bethel University, Century, and Crown Colleges. Prior to that, he was Associate Dean of Psychology at Universitas Pelita Harapan, Jakarta, Indonesia where he lead curricular review, new course development, faculty training, faculty mentoring and online course development. He holds an MS from Minnesota State, Mankato, in Community Counseling, and a BA in Psychology from Dordt College. He will soon complete his PhD in General Psychology from Grand Canyon University (ABD, expected completion Aug 2018). He is passionate about teaching psychology from a faith-based perspective because it is so important for students to understand how creation unfolds through the study of the mind, behaviors, thoughts and feelings.

In addition to serving as an Assistant Professor, Dr. Schuttinga serves as the Director of Social and Behavioral Sciences and is the University Assessment Director. Since moving to Minnesota in 2017, Dr. Schuttinga has held roles at Bethel University, Century College and Crown College.
