In recent years personality assessments have become increasingly popular, with the Myers Briggs test being among the top trending. Personality tests exist to help an individual learn more about how they operate in the world, make decisions, and interact with\/understand the people around them. They can be a great tool in developing more self-awareness and gaining a broader perspective in understanding how others around them might also see the world and choose to operate within it. The Myers Briggs test can especially be helpful in determining a career path<\/a> or even a college<\/a> that would be a great fit for you.<\/p>\n

What is Myer’s Briggs?<\/h2>\n

Myer’s Briggs was specifically designed with 4 categories in which you answer questions to determine your inclination toward either extroversion\/introversion, intuition\/sensing, feeling\/thinking, and judging\/perceiving.<\/p>\n

Your personality type is summed up in an acronym that represents your tendencies in each of those areas. For example, you could be ENFJ, or ISTP. There are 16 total types within the Myer’s Briggs model.<\/p>\n

Each type has a certain \u201cpersona\u201d they take on that gives an idea for what people with that personality type are like. Someone with an ENFJ type would be called \u201cThe Protagonist\u201d because of the way they experience life and exist within the world.<\/p>\n

There are a lot of great (free) online resources<\/a> that can help you identify and learn more about your type if you haven\u2019t yet! Best majors according to your Meyer’s Briggs test<\/h2>\n

ISTJ<\/h3>\n

ISTJ’s\u00a0(Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging)\u00a0are known to be serious, practical, realistic, and logical people. If this is your personality type, majors you would do well in include Accounting<\/a>, Computer Science<\/a>, or Business Administration<\/a> majors.<\/p>\n

INFJ<\/h3>\n

INFJ’s (Introverted, Intuition, Feeling, Judging) are insightful, empathetic, and seek to always improve the common good. Careers paths and majors they would thrive in include Social Work<\/a>, Church Leadership<\/a>, or Youth, Children and Family Ministry<\/a> majors.<\/p>\n

INTJ<\/h3>\n

INTJ’s (Introverted, Intuition, Thinking, Judging) are problem solvers, “big picture” thinkers, and independent people. If this is you, degrees like Digital Media,<\/a> Entrepreneurship<\/a>, or Education<\/a> might be a good fit.<\/p>\n

ISTP<\/h3>\n

ISTP’s (Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Perceiving) have analytical, flexible, efficient personality types. They have strong compatibility with Business Administration<\/a>, Psychology<\/a> or Social Work<\/a> majors.<\/p>\n

ISFP<\/h3>\n

ISFP’s (Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving) are known to be independent, loyal, and able to enjoy the present without focusing too much on the future. Because of these qualities, they would be well matched with a major in Mathematics<\/a>, Social Work<\/a>, or Pastoral Studies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ISFJ<\/h3>\n

ISFJ’s (Introverted,Sensing, Feeling, Judging) are characteristically quiet, considerate, persistent, enjoy having order and can be a perfectionist at times. They would be great studying Accounting and Finance<\/a>, Digital Media<\/a>, or American Sign Language Interpreting<\/a>.<\/p>\n

INTP<\/h3>\n

INTP’s (Introverted, Intuition, Thinking, Perceiving) are logical, practical, critical, and great at solving abstract, in-depth problems. They would do well in Journalism<\/a>, Computer Science<\/a>, or Social Work<\/a> majors.<\/p>\n

INFP<\/h3>\n

INFP’s (Introverted, Intuition, Feeling, Perceiving) are idealistic, curious, and are known to hold firmly to their values and beliefs. Because of these characteristics they would be good in Youth, Children, and Family Ministries<\/a>, Journalism<\/a>, or Biblical and Theological Studies majors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ESFJ<\/h3>\n

ESFJ’s (Extroverted, Sensing, Feeling, Judging) are to known to always seek harmony, \u00a0are conscientious and warmhearted. They would do well pursuing a major in Church Leadership<\/a>, Intercultural Studies<\/a>, or Pastoral Studies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ESFP<\/h3>\n

ESFP’s (Extroverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving) are outgoing, enjoy working on a team, and like to be spontaneous. They would fit well in studying Theatre<\/a>, Marketing<\/a>, or Music Performance<\/a> as a major.<\/p>\n

ENFP<\/h3>\n

ENFP’s (Extroverted, Intuition, Feeling, Perceiving) are known to be good at improvising, are enthusiastic and imaginative. They would be well matched in American Sign Language<\/a>, Interdisciplinary Studies<\/a>, or Theatre<\/a> majors.<\/p>\n

ESTP<\/h3>\n

ESTP’s (Extroverted, Sensing, Thinking, Perceiving) learn best through action, are pragmatic and like to seek immediate results. They would do well in studying Entrepreneurship<\/a>, English<\/a>, or Mathematics majors.<\/a><\/p>\n

ESTJ<\/h3>\n

ESTJ’s (Extroverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging) are matter-of-fact, decisive, and practical. Degrees that will accentuate their strengths include Management Informations Systems<\/a>, Biblical and Theological Studies<\/a>, or Music Production<\/a>\/Music Business<\/a> majors.<\/p>\n

ENTJ’s (Extroverted, Intuition, Thinking, Judging) are known to be leaders, are blunt, interested in efficiency, and re great with long term planning and goal setting. Because of these qualities they would be well matched with Marketing<\/a>, Education<\/a>, or Business Administration<\/a> majors.<\/p>\n

ENTP<\/h3>\n

ENTP’s (Extroverted, Intuition, Thinking, Perceiving) are problem solvers, outspoken, and often bore easily. They would do well in studying Intercultural Studies<\/a>, Worship Leading<\/a>, or Marketing<\/a> majors.<\/p>\n
