As the weather starts to get colder, it gets more and more difficult to find fun things to do in The Cities. Luckily, there is more to do than people think. From winter festivals to golfing, there is certainly no lack of things to do around the cities this winter.<\/p>\n

Go to the Winter Carnival<\/h2>\n

Every year, there is a Winter Carnival<\/a> that is held in St. Paul during late January and early February. This is a great event for students to go to after the Christmas season. Usually for this event, there are several winter parades, along with ice fishing tournaments, and walking and running marathons. Most of these events are free, so it\u2019s very budget-friendly and great for college students.<\/p>\n

Attend the annual Holidazzle<\/h2>\n

Holidazzle<\/a> is an annual event that takes place in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. It is an opportunity for friends and family to come together and admire beautiful Christmas lights, taste some great food and drinks, and see artisan crafts from all over the Twin Cities. Because of Covid last year, Holidazzle was not able to be put on, but it is back and better than ever this winter! This is a great opportunity for students to walk around downtown and get to know their surroundings even better.<\/p>\n

Play a few rounds at TopGolf<\/h2>\n

Many people don\u2019t think it\u2019s possible to go golfing in the middle of winter. Well, at TopGolf<\/a> in Brooklyn Center, you can! TopGolf is open every single day of the year except Christmas and Thanksgiving. TopGolf is a great place to go if you are with a large group of friends. On Tuesdays, TopGolf has a discount, so students are recommended to go on those days. This is a great way to connect with friends while also having a little healthy competition.<\/p>\n

Shop at the Mall of America<\/h2>\n

The Mall of America<\/a> is every tourist\u2019s destination when they come to Minneapolis. There is certainly no shortage of things to do at the Mall of America. Since it is the biggest shopping mall in the country, they have every store you can imagine. Other than shopping, the Mall of America also has two different food courts with a wide variety of choice dining options. The biggest attraction is the Nickelodeon Universe. It is a complete amusement park completely indoors, at the heart of the mall. This is one of the students\u2019 favorite places to go in the winter, where you can shop until your heart\u2019s content, and find thrills at Nickelodeon Universe.<\/p>\n
