The latest addition to The Network of Women Ministers: Campus Edition podcast series features North Central University and brings together NWM representative Kristie Kerr and two dynamic students, Kaylie Crabtree and Skylar Schroeder, who share their journeys and experiences as female students called to vocational ministry.<\/p>\n

Kristie Kerr, ’96<\/h4>\n

Kristie Kerr serves as the representative at NCU for the Network of Women Ministers. Passionate about supporting and empowering women in ministry, Kristie engages in a heartfelt conversation with Kaylie and Skylar about their unique paths, the theme of “restore,” and the challenges and triumphs they’ve encountered along the way.<\/p>\n

Kaylie Crabtree, ’24<\/h4>\n

Kaylie comes from a legacy of ministry, being the fourth generation in her family to be licensed with the Assemblies of God. Despite initially resisting a life in ministry, Kaylie\u2019s journey took a turn during high school when she began assisting with chapel planning and preaching. Her experiences led her to North Central University, where she found a supportive community and numerous opportunities to grow and refine her calling. Kaylie recently graduated, feeling well-prepared for her future in ministry.<\/p>\n

Skylar Schroeder, ’25<\/h4>\n

Skylar, unlike Kaylie, is a first-generation pastor. Her calling came at a youth convention when she was 14, and she has since nurtured her passion for ministry, influenced by her mother, a worship leader. Skylar\u2019s journey brought her to North Central University, where she has experienced significant support and encouragement. Now a senior, Skylar is excited about her future in ministry, focusing on traveling and preaching to students.<\/p>\n

The Journey to Ministry<\/h2>\n

Kaylie\u2019s Path<\/h4>\n

Kaylie\u2019s story is one of reluctant acceptance transformed into passionate commitment. Growing up in a ministry-oriented family, she initially pursued other career interests. However, her involvement in chapel planning during high school revealed her calling. Encouraged by the supportive environment at NCU, Kaylie embraced her path, gaining invaluable experience and confidence.<\/p>\n

Skylar\u2019s Calling<\/h4>\n

Skylar\u2019s journey began in a non-ministerial family, but her mother\u2019s role as a worship leader deeply influenced her.
