At North Central University, we often see how God shapes stories of calling and community, and Rachel Tateosian\u2019s journey is a beautiful example of both. Rachel, a two-time NCU graduate, recently joined our alumni relations team as associate director, bringing with her a passion for meaningful connections and a heart to serve alumni in ways that reflect God\u2019s ongoing work at NCU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel\u2019s path to North Central began with wise counsel: \u201cIf you don\u2019t know where you want to be or what you want to do, make sure you are in a place where your faith will grow.\u201d A mentor\u2019s encouragement led her to NCU, where she immediately felt drawn to the authentic spiritual community and opportunities for personal and academic growth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Rachel shared, \u201cComing back to work at NCU was fully the Lord! When this job was presented, I knew it was the next open door the Lord was calling me toward. It\u2019s clear that God continues to move powerfully at North Central, and I\u2019m thrilled to be part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on her student experience, Rachel recalls attending the College of Business & Technology Social Mixer during her freshman year. “Stepping into that grand ballroom, it struck me deeply that NCU was investing significantly in me, not just academically, but relationally and spiritually,” she says. “That emphasis on community, intentionality, and faith has profoundly shaped my professional journey.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel describes her NCU professors as \u201cworld class\u201d and says they were key influencers in her development. She vividly remembers impactful conversations in Dr. Doug Graham\u2019s office and a powerful challenge from Professor Neely Tamminga, who encouraged students, “Do not let the enemy render you ineffective.” Rachel affirms, \u201cProfessors at NCU have consistently been conduits for the Holy Spirit\u2019s wisdom in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most recently, Rachel gained valuable experience working in alumni engagement at her former Christian K-12 school. “The biggest lessons I learned revolve around building trust, forming genuine relationships, and maintaining effective communication,” Rachel explains. “NCU alumni are making remarkable impacts worldwide, and my role is to help support and highlight their stories.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking ahead, Rachel is eager to foster deeper connections and meaningful engagement within the NCU alumni community. She shares, \u201cMy hope is to create opportunities for alumni to reconnect with students, professors, and each other, both on campus and around the globe. I\u2019m excited to steward and celebrate how God is moving through our NCU family.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside of her professional role, Rachel enjoys playing volleyball and pickleball, discovering new coffee shops, and boating adventures. She also warmly invites fellow musical theater enthusiasts, readers, and fans of “grandma activities” like crocheting and quilting to connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
