Position purpose
The Assistant to the Facility Events Coordinator primarily performs tasks related to facility event coordination. This involves client interaction and various administrative and organizational tasks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Respond to event inquiries and gather initial information
- Reserve rooms in AsureSpace
- Send event details to the appropriate NCU departments
- Be the on-site contact for facility event groups, including check-in and check-out
- Put together lanyards
- Send estimates and invoices for events
- Collect payments in CashNet and enter into QuickBooks
- Send evaluations to facility rental groups
- Take meeting minutes for Summer Facility Coordination Meetings and attend other meetings as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required qualifications/skills
- Currently enrolled student at NCU or recent graduate of NCU
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Good computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
- A basic knowledge of event coordination and planning
- Attention to detail
Additional comments
- Applicants must be available to work through the summer and preferably through the end of the fall semester as well
- Hours/week: 10 hours, Summer is 20-25 hours
- Time: flexible based on applicant’s schedule
