Joy Brathwaite joins North Central as VP of Business and Finance

MINNEAPOLIS, March 8, 2016 – Joy Brathwaite, MSA, has been appointed as North Central University’s vice president of business and finance. She will oversee all financial services, business services, facilities, human resources, and information technology.

Brathwaite comes to NCU from Malone University in Ohio, where she oversaw the financial and business affairs of the institution. She has also held roles as administrative Dean at Regent University School of Divinity (Virginia), and as manager of financial reporting for the General Council of the Assemblies of God.

Eager to build upon her 10 years in private Christian higher education and her in-progress Executive MBA, Brathwaite says, “I want to be part of the team that will enable North Central to continue thriving and grow in the future. I believe in the professional and spiritual quality of the programs, and am excited to see how committed the NCU faculty and staff are to serve and develop their students.”

Originally from Barbados, Brathwaite holds a B.Sc. in Economics & Management from University of the West Indies, a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University and is in process for an Executive MBA from Kent State University (Ohio), with anticipated completion in May 2016.

President Gordon Anderson, Ph.D., notes, “We are happy with this development and closure of what has been a prayer-centered and thorough selection process. The outcome is truly beyond our expectations—God be praised.”
