Fun fall activities around Minneapolis for students

Fall is one of the best seasons for outdoor activities. In Minneapolis, there is no end of things to do here in the fall. Here are some of the local favorites that students and their friends can do this fall season.

Take a trip to the apple orchard

One of the most classic fall activities is going to the apple orchard. It’s a great opportunity to get outside and enjoy the crisp fall weather before it gets too cold. It also provides students with the opportunity to support small businesses in Minneapolis. Here are some apple orchards students can visit around the metro area:
Pine Tree Apple Orchard, in White Bear Lake
Expanding over 300 acres of land, Pine Tree Apple Orchard offers a variety of treats and activities for visitors. They have activities such as a corn maze, tennis, and the 2021 Run & Walk for the Apples. Students can also walk around the orchard and pick their own apples, strawberries, and pumpkins.
Afton Apple Orchard, in Hastings
Afton Apple Orchard offers a variety of activities and food that students can go and pick for themselves. Students are able to pick their own sunflowers and zinnias, 15 varieties of apples, raspberries, blackberries, squash, and corn. For activities, Afton has things like a petting zoo, hayrides, the giant swing, and much more.

The Twin Cities Harvest Festival

One of the most popular fall activities for Minneapolis locals is to attend the Twin Cities Harvest Festival. This festival happens once a year. Open from September 18th to October 31, this festival has no shortage of things to do. Students can navigate Minnesota’s largest corn maze. They can also pick pumpkins, apples, and flowers. There is a marketplace where students can explore different artisan crafts as well. This festival also has different food trucks, like corn dogs, hot dogs, mini donuts, cheese curds, hamburgers, and more.

Visit U.S. Bank Stadium

While students are able to attend Vikings games at the stadium, U.S. Bank also offers tours, so students can see more of the stadium than if they were to go to a football game. There are also quite a few concerts that are held at the stadium.
